I'm returning to France this summer to conduct weddings and so from April until November 2017 I'm not available for ceremonies in Scotland. Sorry. Our funeral is probably the biggest event that’ll ever happen to us and we never see it! More and more people have funeral plans and requests noted via Funeral Directors but very few people actually think about what’ll be said during the service.
We all want to be remembered in a certain way. Maybe you have some particular music you'd like played or hymns sung? Maybe you’ve special memories or words of thanks that you'd like spoken on your behalf; I can do this for you. As an Independent Celebrant I can write you a service that's personal and reflects who you are: your likes and dislikes; your loves and passions; your stories and what makes your heart sing.
I offer a service called 'The Last Word'. This allows you to choose what you’d like said at your funeral service. I'll meet with you for a long chat and we’ll discuss all aspects of the service. I then write a draft which I’ll send you. You can change some, all, or none of it until it's just right. There’s no obligation to use me as the celebrant at your funeral; this is all about giving you choice and control, giving you the last word!
The cost for this service is £130* and, if you’d like, I can store your ceremony until it's needed or I can give it to a family member or Funeral Director, which ever you wish.
* journeys over 20 miles will incur mileage charge at 45p/mile
Here's an example of one lady who wrote her own amazing and meaningful eulogy.
